Over the past two weeks we have been working with Tarleton Community Primary School to highlight the dangers of construction sites. Working with a group of 9 and 10 year old children, we set a competition to design a Health & Safety Poster for our latest development ‘Tarleton Green’ situated on Hesketh Lane in Tarleton.
To start the children off, we gave each child a goody bag with pencils, note pad, and healthy snacks to spring into action their young creative talents!
Yesterday our Managing Director – Mark Chadwick, Operations Director – Gary Buckley, Tarleton Green Senior Project Manager – Paul Winstanley, and Tarleton Green Sales Consultant and Competition Organiser – Anita Winstanley, visited Tarleton Community Primary School to choose a winner!
Mark, Gary, Paul and Anita were amazed at the overall standard of the designs plus the clever slogans included, such as, ‘Wear CAT boots for toe-tal protection’!
After much deliberation we chose our winner! A joint effort by Lewis and Alfie stood out due to its simplicity whilst including the essential Health & Safety messages, plus the Hollins Homes logo! Well done Lewis and Alfie who have won 5 tickets to Southport’s Splash World, which were kindly donated by Splash World. Enjoy!
The decision to choose a winner was a difficult one with two very close runners up. Well done to Jensen and Leigh for their brilliant designs.
To close the competition all participating children were given a teddy bear kindly donated by our shower and tap supplier, VADO. Thank you!

In the Summer we intend to invite the children to visit Tarleton Green so we can show them how new homes are constructed!
