Thistledowns’ proximity to the Peak District, which stretches over 555 square miles of untouched English countryside, has made us exceedingly conscious of the impacts we have on the natural world.

We’re pleased to be constructing this development entirely in timber frame, as our primary build material. which significantly reduces the embodied energy of our homes. A renewable material, Timber is a natural insulator, delivering better thermal performance with the same thickness of wall, which helps reduce energy bills for homeowners.

We will also be utilizing a range of eco-technologies, such as Ohme EV chargers to empower our homeowners to live sustainably. Ohme offer a smart Electric Vehicle charging solution which accesses the cheapest electricity tariffs; potentially saving homeowners up to £600 a year compared to standard alternatives!

Finally, we will be fitting an air source heat pump in every home. An air source heat pump, is a device that extracts heat from the air outside and uses it to warm your home more efficiently than traditional methods, again saving you money on your energy bills!
